An edgy romantic suspense novel written by award wining YA author Carlyle Labuschagne as Bailey Quinn

THE MOMENT DETECTIVE SCARLET ANNE MARTINS stepped into that prison, her resolve began to wane, a struggle she had long forgotten between heart and head. Unable to deny it any longer, the feelings she had for Alaric were strong—and her desperation to save him, would ultimately be what would killed them both.
For a super cop, her judgment in men truly failed her. But while her life, and anyone’s who tried to stop her was in mortal danger, she had to forget every single detail about Special Agent Blade. Her primary focus was getting through the next twenty-four hours without killing anyone.
Thereafter, her purpose would be to find a way to put behind bars those who were framing her for murder, and the bombing in New York City. It would prove to be an almost impossible task, since she had become a fugitive in a foreign country.
This time, her drop-dead gorgeous looks and South African accent would work against her in every way—she would be recognized in a heartbeat on the streets. With nowhere to run, she made the decision to face the peril head on and ensnare the evil that was coming for her, and the only way to do that was by giving them what they wanted.

Happy Bookday Moonbeam

TBA 2016

Fire Quill Publishing is here to welcome our newest addition of novels to our family. Moonbeam, written by Adrienne Woods is finally here. The pre-order phase went beautiful and will definitely try it again in the near future with some of our upcoming novels.

What is Moonbeam about?

Moonbeam follows Blake and Elena eight years into the future, or where Starlight has ended. When we asked Adrienne what her inspiration was behind Moonbeam, she answered with ease.

“I always wondered what The Dragonian Series would’ve been like if the Royals knew who was going to betray them before the time, and what would our main characters life have been. Yes, I know there wouldn’t have been a Dragonian Series, but I still wondered, and that was how Moonbeam come to life. Elena and Blake are different and yet still the same in so many different ways, but it’s still one of my favourite novels to write.”

So there you have it. Moonbeam is all about Elena’s life and how it would’ve been different if she grew up, not just for her but for the Rubicon as well.

I truly hope that all of you are going to love this one as much as we do here at FQP.

Moonbeam is available on all the online stores right at this very moment. So if you haven’t ordered your copy yet while it was on pre-order, do so right now.

Till another day,

So excited to announce our newest author MELISSA KATE!!!

20160522_184850A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Monique, saying that I MUST READ this manuscript. It is laugh out loud funny and everything a great novel should have. She send me a novel written by Melissa Kate.

I was hooked from page one. It is definitely by far everything a rom-com should have and I am super excited to share with you the details of our newest author.

Melissa Kate is a self confessed book-a-holic who lives in a small town along the coast of Sunny South Africa. She writes contemporary romance with quirky characters and witty banter; a true romantic at heart, she loves the moment of falling in love. Her pet Beagle and maniacal lovebird keep her company while writing and often inspire senseless moments in her stories.

When she is not furiously tapping away on her laptop. Melissa can be found getting up to crazy antics with her husband or soaring online stores for additions to her ever growing stiletto collection.

She balances her day job and conjuring up new romantic tales with a local personal blog with arb ramblings about her life in Durban. Perusing all things Chris Hemsworthy also takes up a great deal of her time. A true foodie at heart, nothing makes her day quite like a decadent dessert. CHOCOLATE SOLVES EVERYTHING.

You can read more about Melissa at

I can’t seriously wait to share with you her upcoming release. Don’t miss out on Melissa’s cover reveal for It Had To Be You, coming soon.

Till next time.

Ethan Sutcliff seems like a normal seventeen-year-old—at least that’s what he’s trying to portray. In a secret society run by the Supernaturals, Ethan is what witches call a Bender. Benders are Witches’ Guardians, who are able to control a witches’ ability, bend it, or move it away from harming humans. In Ethan’s case, he is able to bend the Earth element. But at the age of fifteen, he lost all connection to it, and the reasons behind it could only mean one of two things: His Wielder is either dead, or hiding out somewhere.

Alex Burgendorf has been living in her aunt’s locket for the past sixteen years with her mother—a Fire Wielder, and her father—a Water Wielder. For sixteen years, her parents vowed to protect her, and they have, as she is the last Earth wielding witch. However, time is running out. Alex must find her Bender, or the fate of the Supernaturals might be at stake.

Don’t miss out on this action-packed debut novel by Kristin Ping, coming in 2017.

kristin-pingKristing Ping resides in South Africa, where she writes under many pen names. Guardian of Monsters is her first series and Hinder is her Debut novel.

Our Newest Title just got signed: Lumin finds a Lighthouse.

Hi Everyone,

13071902_942463379208426_8565758537386836026_oI am so honoured to be the publishing company of our newest Title. It’s written for the little ones with the most beautiful message of how to look with your heart and not your eyes. This story of Lumin had all of us here at FQP in tears. What is more wonderful is that there is a huge foundation behind Lumin. The creator of Lumin, Zandre Du Preez has one amazing story to tell of how The Lumin Foundation started and it’s a cause that all of us are going to support and hopefully with the help of you as well. Leandri Geldenhuys has brought the story to life for Zandre and you will all get to see Zandre’s beautiful illustration of our famous Lumin that will reach millions all over the globe’s hearts.

Here is Zandre Du Preez’s vision of The Lumin Foundation and how it all started. Women with big hearts has been idolized by me for so many years, and Zandre falls right underneath that category.

“Two years into my son Danté s battle with cancer.  I found myself lost, depleted of emotional, physical and financial resources.  I felt empty.  I had no more tears and yet a mountain of sadness still left to cry out.

I prayed before I fell asleep to be rid of the heartache that was pulsing in my throat.  I didn’t talk about how devastating it is sitting helpless next to a dying child’s bed.  Seeing how bravely he is fighting.  I coul’nt talk about it because there are no words that exist to describe the horror of it.  I just wanted to be rid of the debilitating pain. I also wanted to have the peace of mind knowing that I can be right by his side fighting this dragon with him and not worry about bills and food and work.

I woke up just before 3 the next morning. Half asleep but wide awake I found a small canvas…2 hours later Lumin was born… and I cried for the first time in 16 months.  She looked peaceful and content.  Hopeful and beautiful.

My vision with Lumin is to start the Lumin Foundation. It will support families that is financially and emotionally effected by children with dread diseases.  So that a parent can fully be present with their child in their darkest of hour and not worry about petrol and food and rent.  Something just doesn’t seem right with the world that there are no support for these families.

I also not just want to give financial support but also empower these families to find their purpose and help them dust off their dreams.  So to stay positive as much as possible and when everything goes black around you to keep your eyes on the light of your purpose, dreams and FAITH.

I wanted Lumin to become alive and be a representative of light and hope.  That is why I wrote the book with Leandri.  With each turn of the page I hope to encourage people to look with there hearts and not with their eyes.  ” For we walk by FAITH and not by sight ”

Zandré du Preez
Creator of Lumin

(aka Mother of Danté the Brave)

We will add during the course of the year more links in how you can become part of the Lumin Foundation and help families with Children who goes through this horrible journey. No kid should be diagnosed with cancer.

Till later,

FQP Team.

A Big Welcome To Our Newest Member To The Team

Here at FQP we grow with a speed of light. We get so many authors that want to become part of our family, who wants us to publish their novels and we can’t tell you how grateful and blessed we are. So with growing on our author base, which is still relatively small as we only strive to publish the best, we had to find someone that is just going to be as passionate about words, and novels, like the rest of our team, as that is what drives this company, passion.

So we searched for that special someone that will fit into FQP and is excited to introduce you to our newest family member, as everyone here at FQP feels like family.

Welcome Jessie Campbell.

Here is a little more about Jessie.

HeadshotJessie Campbell is an editor at FQP. A frequent panelist at UTOPiA Con, she worked in the editorial department at one of the largest independent book publishers in the US. She holds a bachelor degree in sociology from MTSU and a certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). She is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has experience proofreading, copyediting, line editing, and developmental editing YA and middle grade novels, adult nonfiction, and picture books. Jessie’s editorial style is about helping the author’s voice shine through — polishing, not demolishing. She believes that a good relationship between the publisher and the author is the best way to serve the reader.

Jessie is a fiction writer with over fifteen short publications at indie presses. One day, her own novel will be published — if it doesn’t kill her first. She’s obsessed with books (with a soft spot for fantasy), hiking, dogs, sharks, ancient history, and global travel. Her wanderlust led her to sell everything and move to Costa Rica, where she lived for two years. Only a job as an editor in the book business finally drew her back to the States, where she now lives in literary Boston, Massachusetts.

You are a wonderful asset to our ever growing publishing company.

Interested to become an FQP author, please visit our submission’s page and send in your manuscripts. We can’t wait to read them.
